For 1963, Bourbon, Indiana's Elcar Mobile Homes presented a 10 by 50 footer with something extra...it was called EXPANDA-ROOM.

In 1952, the first "pull out room" mobile home made its debut. The Elcar EZ EXTENDO EXPANDA-ROOM rig for 1963 had two such (4' by 10') extensions. One expanded out from the kitchen, the other from the living room.
