In 1950, Michigan's General Coach Works, Incorporated was promoting its all-aluminum body 4 STAR GENERAL DELUXE model.

"Designed for pleasant living", the 4 STAR GENERAL DELUXE coach is one of the first conventional house trailers to include a bathroom. This version of the 8 x 27 footer included a double bed in its rear sleeping quarters and pull-down (built-in) dining table. The "Floor Plan A" rig is depicted in the drawing above. There was also a "Floor plan B" unit, which featured two twin beds and a smaller bathroom.
